Monique Lashay Jone aka Mo-Luv was born in Denver, Colorado on November 5, 1991; the daughter of Zelda shaw and the oldest of one brother. In the fifth grade Mo-Luv had already did amazing things in her life like perform for the Mayor of Colorado, during a drug abuse resistant education (D.A.R.E.) contest that she won. Mo-Luv always had something special in her that is unique that stood out from the rest, that’s why in the fall of 2003 she was published in a book called “A Celebration of Young Poets.” She was only in the fifth grade at that time. Mo-Luv had this light that shinned down on her and did not realize this brilliant gift. At Aurora Central High School during her freshmen and sophomore year Mo-Luv had started rapping and became well known with her lyrics and ability to start (busting) on demand. Mo-Luv in 2007 was yet again published in another poetry book called “Melting Box of Crayons” True stories and poems by urban high school students. She was destined to accomplish bigger and greater things in her life and was published in two more books. When Mo-Luv was a senior at George Washington High School known as “GW” she was still at it free styling for her peers and rap battling and showing the young men that females can do it just like the boys or as she would say “EVEN BETTER.” Mo-Luv fell in love with the fact of taking her musical career to the next level when her friend took her to the studio where she laid her first track, from that day on she knew this was her fate, this was her God given talent, this is what she loved. Mo-Luv had decided not to go to college even though she graduated with a 4.0 GPA, she wanted to be the next big thing and go mainstream in the music industry even though her step-father was angered by this decision and did not support her a single bit, her mother Zelda Shaw and her little brother Derrick Shaw Jr saw the talent and bigger picture and supported her and began managing her career. In the summer after graduating high school Mo-Luv had completed her first cd called “FRESH OUT DA MILE HIGH” where she passed it out to everyone around Colorado, she knew she had to let the talent speak for itself. Mo-Luv has did many shows in her two years of being on the grind and she has an abundant purpose in the music industry and it will only take the right set of people to hear her talent because she is born with the star quality. In Feburary of 2012 Mo-Luv got invited out to do a show in New York City with ElegantHoodness hosted by A.D. the genral and she won first place and is curently in a magazine called SixTwelve magazine. Mo-luv was overwhelmed by the love and support she say's that was her moment for life and it was her first time ever performing out of state and her first time ever being in New York. Alot of Mo-Luv's fans believes she will be a big name real soon in the music industry she possess that it factors and stage presents Mo-Luv says “SHE WILL NOT STOP BANGING ON DOORS UNTIL SOMEONE ANSWERS.”
