Chan R. Cole A.K.A. Hip-Hop Recording Artist /BMI Song Writer / Performer/ Audio Engineer / Photographer; better known as his stage name "Yung-Chan”, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is of African American, Caucasian, and Native American ancestry. Chan has always had the dream of pursuing a music career as a well known musician artist some day. With the determination, motivation, & commitment to present and future fans since a kid and presently now; he strived to accomplish his goal to show passion for it, and to show that it was far from just a hobby. Chan says that “rapping isn’t for every one, but this is something I have strength in, and skill at doing that I want to fulfill a career in, even if it’s not meant to be, it’s worth a try” Chan says. Chan got his stage name “Yung” from realizing he started music at an early age, & his nickname “Chan” as part of his half government name. Yung-Chan's rap influences were Tupac, lil-Wayne, T.I., Kanye west, Juelz Santana and Drake. Chan started writing his first rap verse at the age of 13 at home watching MTV Television. Chan seemed to have loved writing and his music teacher in grade school had always told him that he was such a great poet and essay writer. Chan started recording at the age of 15 yrs. old going on 16, when his cousin showed him the basics of rhyming and word play. Mostly inspired by Tupac, lil Wayne & T.I. etc. Chan came to a point where he decided to take his actions further with this thought in mind and his gifted talent, and make something out of it.
Yung-Chan has dropped several mixtapes since first started recording; and at the age of 16 first making profits, selling mixtapes on the streets, barber shops, high school teachers, friends, and even relatives. Chan was quite a popular guy in high school for his music and well known for it. He sold mixtapes to students, outsiders, even his staff who thought he was impressive. There was just always someone approaching him about his music, asking him to spit (in other words, “freestyle”). “When is the new mixtape dropping Chan?" as well as,” I heard your last tape Chan, it was hot. ". High school was a good way of becoming well known by people and also expanding his fan base in the start of his career.
Today, known as the guy with the unique swagger with his unique simile word play and lyrical metaphors, he is currently still unsigned to an industry label, but he represents and is a member of an upcoming indie label currently investing, named: “FFTAMG” (Far From The Average Media Group). The Year 2012 still at it today and many years to come; Chan" has and is still putting effort and working hard at his music career working with new different artist in and out his home town, as well setting goals to become even better by the moment with god's gift; as his character is unpredictable you may never know what he has in stored for us next. “Always do what you have dreamed to accomplish", he was told. “Never settle for less, but always have a back up career plan." Chan has this passion, and quoted: "If the people like it, then I like it, but deep down inside I know I have always made good music for the ears that listen to my words." Yung-Chan strives to succeed to do his best and put work and effort into his music. "Effort will sure pay off one day Hip hop will always change and grow", he quoted. “What ever greatness life has in stored for me I'll be waiting, but until then I will continue to make music for the fans, people, and others who have supported me on my journey since day 1 and more who have yet to come.” Chan looks forward to gaining world wide and music industry exposure for the record label out there who awaits his gifted talent and to show them what he has to offer, his research will soon tell, etc. A true music artist must believe in their own music. “Time is patience they say, “but when my time comes I will soon let the world know and forever bring great music for my fans.”
