Rechela’s story and her music will make most do a double take.
Rechela simply sings the music she loves and is determined to cross all
Boundaries imposed upon her.
When she was seventeen, Rechela traveled from the US to Egypt's Sinai Peninsula. There she quickly fell in love with the desert, the Bedouin culture and people; its Arabic
language and its music; Specifically, the enchanting Khaleeji -Gulf Emirates and Saudi Arabian- music resonated deeply within her. For the last ten years she has
dedicated herself to honoring and sharing this music around the
world. Recently, Rechela traveled to Bahrain and Dubai, where she
became an overnight sensation for her fluency in the art-form and the magic in her voice. She is the first Western artist to embrace the music of the Khaleej, and as such,
has experienced a perplexing dose of controversy and an even greater dose of love and support from multiple sides.
Rechela's heart and her music know no boundaries, and those who
have heard her sing know that one day her music will go far beyond the
barriers set in front of her.
