Wendell Mckines aka WensDay started his roots in California’s Bay Area better known as “ The Bay” grew up in Oakland where he spent most of his time hanging out with his friends and family, rapping and playing ball. An entrepreneur from a young age Wendell worked for an independent sales company selling products door-to-door and actually excelled at it....an entrepreneur was in the making. He then went on to attend Richmond High School when his family moved to the Richmond area. Throughout his high school years playing for the Richmond Oilers brought Wendell national recognition as one of the top high school basketball stars. But that didn’t quench his thirst for music, Wendell would spend time with his friends writing rap songs and recording them. His passion for ball and rap kept him busy either in the gym or in the studio: he knew that he had to stay focused to avoid getting caught up in the streets. So upon completing and graduating from high school it was destiny that Coach Menzies from New Mexico State University would come knocking and offer Wendell an opportunity to play for the Aggies. Wendell of course answered the call.
