"Music is life"/"Life is Music!", and for Ken Buono it all started with The Beatles! His 28-year musical journey has taken him many places. In late 2010, he decided that he'd call Nashville, TN home. Since leaving Philadelphia, Pa (where he first cut his teeth in the music scene as a drummer for indie-rock bands: Flight of Mavis, Buzz Zeemer, The Trolleyvox, Grand, etc.), Buono has firmly planted his feet within Music City's songwriters community. "I feel so fortunate to have a direct connection to one of the most unique cities in the world for music...to call Nashville home! Yeah, it's mostly known here for it's country music history and all, but it has so much more to offer. The songwriting community, not to mention the musicians in town, are of such diverse make up...the talent here is just mind blowing!".
Most recently, Buono has teamed up playing guitar/percussion backing another Nashville-based singer-songwriter Vanessa Hill. <http://www.reverbnation.com/vhillmusic>. "Her soulful voice just stopped me in my tracks when I first heard her performing at a writers night here in town" says Buono. "Since I've started playing alongside Vanessa, I've gotten the chance to see many others experience the same when hearing her sing for the first time!".
Since Hill landed in Nashville TN in the 90's, she's written hundreds of songs, landed a major label deal, established herself as a "HIt" songwriter ("We Dared The Lightning" The Bellamy Brothers), as well as helping spearhead (in conjunction with her previous record label- Warner Brothers) 'The Color of Music' Foundation. She's even served 2 years as mayor in a town in her adopted state of Alabama!
