The Manhattan Project was formed in 2009 by three talented musicians with an inspiration of breaking the mold of current mainstream pop artists.
Each band member works together to write and perform their own music that has its own unique sound that can’t be tacked to a specific genre. With Nick Morello on guitar, Phil DeYoung on bass, and Joe Billy on drums they have blazed their own path of success by winning the Battle of the Bands in 2009.
Playing famous venues such as The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, Fontana‘s in New York City, Crossroads in Garwood, The Meat Locker in Montclair, Canvas Clash in Booton and Chill in Montclair.
The Manhattan Project has played numerous benefit concerts in order to help unify towns in a effort to raise money for good causes, such as Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital and the Leukemia Foundation.
The Manhattan Project’s first single, “It Was You,” was featured in the B-Movie “Seeking Nirvana” which has been released in Spring of 2012. They also recorded their first EP in 2012
