Jason Herrin Band / Bio

“Life Philosophy: Live, Love, Learn and Leave a good soundtrack” Nothing could more accurately depict the adventurous, carefree spirit of singer-songwriter Jason Herrin. From the small town of Waxahachie, Texas comes the Jason Herrin Band. With a mix of southern rock, country, and folk these guys go great with any live music venue. Singer/Songwriter Jason Herrin, has been performing and writing songs for over 10yrs. From his teen years swapping songs with friends to the struggles of making a name for himself. Influenced by Todd Snider, Mike McClure, Drive by Truckers, Ryan Adams to Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Lynrd Skynrd, Guns n Roses, and many more.

His first project was the Six Shooter Band from ’99-’06. They made one record with designer and music producer Alan Thomas. “Wave Goodbye” the first and only single released on the record went to number 38 on the Texas music charts. It later got them nominated for country band of the year and Jason was nominated as well for Songwriter of the Year. They also opened for David Allen Coe, Cooder Graw, Tommy Alverson, Jack Ingram, Honeybrowne, Deryl Dodd, Stoney LaRue, Billy Joe Shaver, and Big John Mills.

Now with some new songs and a variety of tasteful musicians Jason embarks on his first solo project. The shows consists of about 2-3 hours of high energy. Jason Herrin knows no luxury. He wants no satisfaction. All he needs is a guitar and the words in his mouth to tell the true stories of talented musician. Seeing Jason Herrin Band live, spitting those words into rings of fire is to experience something real….something that cannot be reproduced.
