Spacewalk is an award-winning singer-songwriter, composer and producer based in Sweden. As his sound tends to defy categorization, Spacewalk's music can be generally describe as "Alternative" as he intricately blends the acoustic elements of indie folk with electronic visions of neo-psychedelia, trip-hop and experimental rock.
It is the adventurous journey of a passionate seclusive young man who dares to touch his father's worn-out Alhambra when in his late teens and decides to pursue a musical career as a composer and songwriter for the rest of his life. At the time, the bitter reality of the systematic philistinism and the anti-artist agenda of the totalitarian establishment is silently cancelled out by a young vibrant underground network of talented musicians and art lovers in his hometown, Tehran. Being a part of such a creative community, Spacewalk's music develops in originality as he starts writing his own material and soon, one of his first songs "Maybe Someday" wins him an award as a finalist in the Song of The Year™ International songwriting contest.
In 2009, Spacewalk records his first EP in independent underground studios including his own home studio in Tehran. Publication of his first EP is challenged by predictable political obstacles but in the end, the culmination of his efforts pays off and his music attracts a relatively wide audience and is generally well received especially after being broadcast by numerous radio stations including BBC Introducing™ and WFMU™.
After moving to Sweden to pursue his musical career, he releases his second EP "Placebo Effect" in late July 2011 on iTunes, Amazon and all the leading outlets. Acoustically recorded, this collection comprises guitars, piano and vocal harmonies to "paint a great picture in his story-telling which captures and holds the listener's attention". Spacewalk has performed numerous shows in different countries including England, Sweden and Spain both solo and in collaboration with other artists. After his recent long inspiring journeys in Svealand, Iceland and Gomera, he finished writing his new material in spring 2015 and his debut full album is planned to be released the same year.
