Hip-Hop’s Future: The bio of 2Face
Olivier Michael Giron, a.k.a. 2Face, is a hip-hop artist originally from Washington D.C. In 2000, 2Face relocated to New Orleans, LA and he currently resides right outside of New Orleans in Slidell, LA. According to fan, Jude Grayson: “2Face’s style is based on laying down verses with a cadence that’s constantly changing and hidden lines that make you think about the underlying meaning behind the surface value of the lyrics. His raps are the future of hip hop because it allows the listeners to discover hidden messages or relax and vibe- 2Face gives you what you want.”
Currently, 2Face is working on his mixtape, Face the Music. Primary production of his music is being done courtesy of Onset with Onset One Publishing, one of New Orleans hottest producers who have worked with artists such as B.G., Chopper City Records and Baby Boy. Onset has most recently been featured on Toya: A Family Affair. Some of 2Face’s other projects include B.N.O.C. (Brand New Orleans Coalition) featuring one of his close friends Crizmatik and several other up and coming New Orleans recording artists including the members of G-Livin. As a newly founded group, B.N.O.C. recently made their debut performance at Howlin’ Wolf and their next appearance will be at Industry Influence night at The Hangar hosted by Q93’s Wild Wayne and Nuttin’ But Fire’s Sess 45. Right now 2face is also lining up shows at Shooters Sports Bar, The METROpolitan, and an album release party at Republic. His first single She Jazzy will be debuting on New Orleans’ Q93. Thus far in his career as a rapper, 2Face has made a cameo in the Baby Boy video Nah Mean and worked with a wide range of artists from 5th Ward Weebie to Royce Da 5’9”. He has opened up for artists such as Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Jim Jones, and Juvenile and has been featured on two compilation albums: the BG Records Compilation Volume 1 and Birds of a Feather, Falcon Entertainment. 2Face has performed at some of New Orleans’ favorite venues including Howlin’ Wolf, House of Blues, The Venue, Tipitinas, Twiropa, The Warehouse, and Rugby Pub on the West Bank. He’s hosted shows in Slidell, LA at Club 227 and has performed at Bourbon Street Live in Baltimore, MD. Additionally, 2Face has co-hosted an Internet radio show on B97, one of the Crescent City’s most popular stations.
