Formed in 2009, Away With The Faeries have been keeping a busy diary gigging across London, and beyond. The AWTF sound is not easily described; you may choose words like "folk" and "acoustic" or use such adjectives as "vibrant" or "tumescent". Ok, maybe not that last one, and maybe you'd be better off making it to a show or using your auditory capabilities and clicking on that thing up there that plays music. Don't forget, you can always join our mailing list to keep yourself updated - simply stop by our website
In 2010 AWTF have opened for DONOVAN at The Great British Folk Festival, and have appeared regularly supporting THE BLOCKHEADS. There has also been the odd collaboration with other acts, like the seminal acid folk band SPIROGYRA. AWTF have graced the stages of top venues like The 100 Club, The Halfmoon, and Union Chapel, as well as tearing it up at other great venues across the capital.
Work has begun on the debut album, but until it's released, we'll try and keep things fresh by posting some demo recordings on Myspace as and when we finish them.
