Well it all started in the eighties with the Electrics who then turned into the legendary ADR (Another Dead Rabbit), who then kinda went two directions, then the 90's brought Ginge, John, Jay & Pete together as the bedrock of what is still around now! With brief appearances in the early days from Duncan McAfee & Nick Vaughn. The Big Red Bambino wrote same great songs, recorded and played some fun gigs around the country including Hyde Park with Rolfie and up north n all. All including our own written material.
We are all busy doing other things and it didn't feel right playing as BRBB without one member being there. You see, we all sing on the songs and play real instruments and so you take one away then it becomes different. Yes we could get someone in to cover but it would still feel different and so, not totally BRBB, however good it might be.
During this time we have all played with others too but like a magnet something forces all to keep playing together. JK's work has also meant taking our music to the States, Russia, France, Germany Estonia, Greece and of course our beloved Poland. However when Rockinpaddy comes back to it's family home of Ireland, that is when the music joins a new league of experience.
So BRBB is still alive in heart, but when we can't all be together, Rockinpaddy opens the doors to a great collection of friends who enjoy playing irish flavoured good time stuff.
We have great fun playing and the audiences join in the same spirit and kind of round up the rockinpaddy experience. Why not come along and join the craic with Rockinpaddy.
