The Seas is a four-piece rock band from London, Kentucky. Formed in late 2009, The Seas began creating music that juxtaposed a heavy and aggressive style with textural and atmospheric elements. They have forged an original sound that is powerful and emotional, delivering a premium blend of metal, alternative, industrial and progressive genres.
On August 30, 2011, The Seas released their debut album, “A Separation,” which showcases the musicianship and creativity of the band. The title track is the centerpiece of the album, a dynamic epic that is musically and lyrically cathartic. Layer by layer, the track builds toward a floating, odd-timed interlude complete with textural guitar and compelling vocals. Like “A Separation,” the entire album carefully weaves together moody and melancholy arrangements into brutal riffs and odd time signatures into a journey of musical diversity.
The band has also built a reputation as a commanding live act. Interludes are used to create moods and bridge songs together into a complete show instead of a collection of individual songs. To sum up the live experience, the band strives to recreate the sounds of the album with an authentic, high-energy performance.
