The Cole Porter Band is a genre destroying band out of Southwest Missouri with Ozark roots and a sound as distinct as their home. They’re hard to pin down but they embrace their Classic Country, Texas and Red Dirt influences as they brew their own blend of country and southern rock. Their genuine songwriting, inviting harmonies and energetic shows have gained them a loyal fan base that is growing fast as they make their way into Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Colorado.
The 5 piece just released their 1st album, “Devil By the Tail” with singer/songwriter and producer, Mike McClure, in July 2013. The front man for the Great Divide and producer for Cross Canadian Ragweed and The Turnpike Troubadours had this to say about the band: “..What a great band. Some really killer songs […]This a band you need to check out. Great people and I thoroughly enjoy recording them. They are on their way.”
The album features 11 original tracks including “Trailer Song”, “Backs Against the Wall”, and “Don’t Let Me Go” which are getting great regional radio play including regular airtime on 95.9 FM The Ranch in Dallas, TX .
Cole first got his start as a solo artist at the Snorty Horse Saloon in Mt. Vernon, Missouri at just 19-years old. The Snorty Horse had been hailed as the “best little roadhouse in Missouri” and had been graced by performers such as Steve Earle, Jason Boland, and Cross Canadian Ragweed . That moment instilled a passion for performing and writing music in Cole that is stronger than ever today. In 2011 Cole joined forces with his wife, singer/songwriter, Kendra Porter along with: Jamison Case (drums), Derek Compton (lead guitar), and Chris Heifner. With nearly 300 shows under their belt this group shows no signs of slowing down.
