Kym Larsen has been interested in the music world since a very young age. From watching musicals on video to entertainment programs, Kym always wanted to be part of something big.
Inspired by many legendary acts, Kym took her inspiration to follow a dream of being a performer and throughout school she joined choirs and theater to fill the need to perform on a stage. In her spare time she enjoyed recording herself on small voice recorders to see what her voice would sound like played back. She started writing her own lyrics as a child and teenager.
As she got older she was introduced to karaoke and started entering contests to see how far she could get. She began taking first place prizes in contests and then started auditioning for reality TV shows, such as The Voice and America’s Got Talent. Kym even began taking the role of a judge in local karaoke contests.
When Kym wanted to take things a step further with actually recording in a studio, she took to Craig’s list and found her first producer, Tim Coons, of Atlantic Hill Music. He helped her produce her first four original songs and then she pitched them to a label called, Tate Music Group, where her first EP was released for purchase. She even became good friends with a drummer that played with two of her musical heroes, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham; his name is Gary Lynn Hodges. Kym made sure that Gary was to add drums to a song that she wrote specifically for Stevie Nicks, “Rock N Roll Queen”.
At this time, Kym is moving further with her career in hopes that she will soon be sharing her talents with the world through her new label with, Touch Records.
