Drew William is an independent, hip-hop artist and songwriter based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Hailing from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Drew has spent the last two years living in Indianapolis and one of the music capitals of the world, Nashville, Tennessee. It is in in those two years and several years prior that Drew has developed his unique brand of songwriting and lyricism in hip-hop music, drawing heavily from the influences of the Midwest region that birthed him and the brilliant and soulful, southern music scene that further honed his songwriting skills and expanded his artist repertoire.
An artist and a scholar in everything that he does in life, Mr. William has written and performed his way into recognition within several underground circles through lyrics that are thought-provoking, original, honest, and, at times, deeply emotional. His debut album, "Barometer" was released in August of 2011 and is currently available for purchase on iTunes. Flanked by his real-life brother adding a uniquely-constructed production sound encompassing myriad genres and styles to "Barometer" and several subsequent releases, the duo is poised to prove that a Vanderbilt MBA and a UCLA PhD can get you more than just a good job.
Drew recently released his debut mixtape entitled, "Prince William", in January 2013. The upcoming sophomore album is currently in production as well, though yet to be titled and due out in Summer 2013.
