Country music has always been in the heart of singer/songwriter/entertainer Kristi LaRae Goldade. Already at the age of three, Kristi could be found singing along with her sisters to some of country music’s most legendary songs. At eight years old when on a family vacation in the badlands of Medora, Kristi was introduced to yodeling. She was simply amazed by the sound and soon set out to learn this technique. She could be found practicing every evening while feeding dairy calves on the family dairy and grain farm. Later that fall, Kristi got up on stage for the first time when she was only eight years of age. As a result of her abilities, she was asked to entertain for various events and soon news of her talent spread across the Midwest.
At the tender age of 10, Kristi started playing guitar and by the time she was 11 she recorded her very first CD. Since then she has appeared at countless county and state fairs, family gatherings, centennials and quasquicentennials, etc., and has been a pre-show artist for the Medora Musical. She has also been a guest at the Midwest Country Theater in Sandstone, MN which is aired on RFD-TV. Through it all, Kristi has met many musicians and singers. She has recorded four CD's thus far and receives air time on local radio stations every week.
In 2008, Kristi was encouraged by fans to enter the Colgate Country Showdown competition in Mobridge, SD. There she won the local competition and moved on to the state competition also winning that title. At that time Kristi was only 14 years old and the youngest state winner in the United States.
Kristi enjoys living life out in the country, riding horse, tending for farm animals, and spending time with family and friends. She loves to express herself through the songs she writes and performs. Her heart has always been in music, and she encourages people of all ages to follow their dreams.
