J.W. Teller start out playing shows and writing songs in the Jackson, Mississippi music
scene before relocating to Asheville, North Carolina in the winter of
2012. His songs present us with stories of a domesticated South, in
which fathers dictate daughters and children steal into tree lined
fields to hide. Both haunting and aloof, filled with familiar truths
and heartbreaking consequences, his songs are a sentimental retreat
from the impartiality of the modern world.
