Purpose / Bio

Beni Santibanez artist formerly known as Sir Scrappy from Arapnaphobia Records known for making chicano gangster rap music with a west coast/midwest feel was called to serve God with his music on June 5th, 2009.
Santibanez was a known gang member who's label mates were on kansas most wanted while they produced "venom for the streets", "Caught up in the Web", "The Antidote" among other albums was called shortly after releasing it. Santibanez also featured on songs with artists from Hata Proof & Coast from Dopehouse Records. Despite the success in the secular field Santibanez' home life was falling apart from the lifestyle that he was living. Santibanez broke his hands 3 times in 3 years fighting and was avoiding police due outstanding warrants; Santibanez couldn't "break free" from the lifestyle. He was called to ministry in 1997 when God used direct revelation to stop him from shooting a rival gang member, however this is a call that Santibanez ran from. There was much running, alot of anger, self medicating through drugs and alcohol that Santibanez used to mask the pain from his upbringing; the anger stemmed from years of verbal and physical abuse, by the age of 8 Santibanez completely gave up on and turned from God.
Santibanez burned with an overwhelming passion for evangelism after june 5th 2009; he was baptized on July 13th and began reaching out doing bible studies in homes until there was no room, then from the basement of a church to a church building. Santibanez joined a church plant in his neighborhood where he currently serves and continues to reach out.
Producing music for the kingdom he has released Road to Salvation and a mixtape called Music with Purpose featuring collabs with several artists even an over the phone prison collab. He changed his stage name to Purpose after much prayer and consideration stating that before CHRIST his life was without purpose. Santibanez founded Hope 4 Da Hood in 2009 and has been blessed with the opportunity to serve and see his family as well as many known gangsters come to Christ!
Santibanez is currently working on projects with other Christian recording artists as well as a mixtape. Santibanez says you can look forward to evangelistic music with a message of redemption and a challenge to the listeners!
