Prince Ama was born in Trenchtown, Ivory Coast. A man of the world, he was educated in music at the Norwegian school of Theater, Music and Dance known as EDEC. At a young age he became fluent in the arts of performance and began winning local competitions. Adding a remarkable twist to his musical experience is his time with the National Musical Ballet of the Ivory Coast. He performed in France, Japan, Belgium, London, Norway, Germany, and Canada before arriving in the United States of America, where he toured the East and West coasts and opened for acts such as Sean Paul, Jaheim and Jimmy Buffet, just to mention a few.
Prince Ama, a World / Reggae Dancehall recording artist from the Ivory Coast, released his latest single titled, “Live Crazy Life,” on the La Vie Entertainment label in March of 2012. The track is an adrenaline fueled pop track with heavy African roots and reggae influences. The back beats are complex and creative, the melody lines are fun and interesting and the song in general is well suited for parties, dance halls, nightclubs, or simply driving around the city.
Live Crazy Life” is not Prince Ama's first single, nor is it alone in the body of work produced by
Prince Ama during 2012. The single comes from his third album titled “Matter of Time,” from which 2 other singles were also released that year. His second single from that album was “Drink Jager” and the third was “Never Give Up.” In May of 2013, Prince Ama will release his third album, “Matter Of Time,” which includes 12 songs. “Welcome to Vegas,” the single from his previous album, “Nothing Last For Ever”, hit digital shelves on March 1 of 2011, followed by the full length album on April 2 of 2011.
Prince Ama has also had the privilege of collaborating with many artists. Recently he recorded “Can You Wind”, with Skip Martin, lead singer of The Dazz Band & also formerly with Cool & The Gang.
He is currently performing with his own band, International Flow360, which includes professional DJ work and stage dancers. He considers his own style of music to be in the World / Reggae Dancehall genre. He lists his major influences as Shaggy, Sean Paul, and Bob Marley, and signs of these influences are ever present in “Live Crazy Life” and “Welcome To Vegas.”
“My music shares a message of unity, love, and peace with my listeners,” says Prince Ama.
“Live Crazy Life” is available on digital shelves and online worldwide.
