In my early years, I played guitars and keyboards in the fusion group "Inserts", which was primarily a studio band but we did live broadcasts and concerts as a headliner and as an opening act for Allan Holdsworth and various internationally known jazz artists.. We recorded the album, "Out of the Box" which was mastered at JVC Hollywood and produced in Japan by the Japan Victor Corporation. It was imported for distribution in the United States by our label Nozzle Records. The album graphics were done by the artist Cal Schenkel, who is primarily known for his work with Frank Zappa. The album got good air play on jazz and public radio stations and favorable reviews in the industry press. You can hear selections from "Out of the Box" on this site and also:
I also played on and produced the CD "Illusion of Rule" with improvisational keyboard artist, Rip Shredder (Rick Schrader). The album consisted of a series of spontaneous free improvisational pieces on which I played keys, guitar and guitar synthesizer. Like the earlier Inserts album all of the pieces were recorded without charts or prior discussion about what was to be played and were performed live in one take with no overdubs. You can also hear some of these tunes on this site and also here:

I'm currently working on studio projects with composer/trumpeter James Hill and occasionally play with different improvisational groups in the Austin Texas area.
