Amanda Rose Cagle, native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, holds a Bachelor's degree in Music from Hiram College in Northeastern Ohio, with emphasis on piano, double bass and clarinet, and also studied Baroque strings and woodwinds at Case Western University in Cleveland. Returning to Chattanooga, she began a study of modern improvisation with The Shaking Ray Levis. In addition to studio session work, she has performed with funk and soul outfit Decibella, Duplex Planet writer and spoken word artist David Greenberger and poet-prophet Jack Rentfro, big bands Sweet Georgia Sound and The Uptown Big Band, Outlaw Country legend Roger Alan Wade, as well as country crooners The Scott Brown Band, psychedelic jug band Big Kitty, Ghanian drum and dance group Mawre, polka partiers The Wurstbrats, and speakeasy chanteuse Christabel. She also keeps it real as pianist and organist at Rivermont Presbyterian Church in Hixson, Tennessee.
