Started in Orange County, California in 2009, vocalist Kevin Beatty and guitarist Danny Taylor laid down the frame work of brutally heavy riffs, devastating breakdowns, thunderous drums and melodic phrases that have come to define the band. With the additions of guitarist Ian Molina, drummer Josh Covarrubias and bassist Brian Cabral, the band recorded their debut EP 7 Feet in the fall of 2011. With inspirations ranging from Metallica and Pantera to As I Lay Dying and Killswitch Engage, BTB fused classic metal with new school metalcore to produce a sound all their own. After the release of their EP, the band set out to take the Orange County music scene by force. They became regulars at iconic OC venues such as Chain Reaction, The Glasshouse, The Observatory and The House of Blues. As their fan base grew they were given opportunities to open for Steel Panther, A Static Lullaby, Attika 7 and Wednesday 13. Gaining momentum, in 2012 the band was nominated for the 2013 OC Music Awards for Best Live Band and Best Metal Band, alongside Avenged Sevenfold. They were also named one of the "Top 5 Local Orange County musicians you must hear" by Locale Magazine. In 2014 they were finalists in the OC Music Awards Live Band category. The band released their second EP "Casket Call" at the end of May to rave reviews. Along with the EP, the debut music video for their single "All of Me"eclipsed 10,000 views in its first week. Currently, the band is writing and preparing to record new music this winter, as well as scheduling an upcoming tour. Stay up to date on new information and details at beneaththeburied.com.
