Century Got BARS / Bio

Growing up in the “Motor City”, Detroit, Michigan, Century would find her biggest influence to pursue music would come from the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, of TLC. “When I heard her voice and her energy for the first time I wanted to be just like her. My mom wouldn't even let me have the album cause of the parental advisory so I had to pay a bum to go get it for me.”Century later moved to Washington DC to attend college at Howard University. After being scouted at an emcee battle in 2002, Century along with two other ladies, signed a 2 year production deal with Sony Music. The group later disbanded due to internal issues. By 2004, Century was ready for a new start, and moved to Atlanta, GA (the ATL , shawty!!). She recorded her first solo album, “Hip-Hop Blues” in 2006. Followed by “We 2 Flii: The Montes Family” mixtape in 2007. Century rocked the crowds at local clubs and performing on Pride tours. In 2009 she joined the group MLS (Major League Spittaz) and recorded tracks for the album "Sharpshooterz". She's performed at a host of Sacramento local shows, including opening for Zman for Auburn Hip Hop Congress, DJ Rated R's Joints and Jams and over 15 open mics. Century released the mixtape "Who Lil Boi Is This?!" in October of 2010, and is currently working on her upcoming solo project "Music4Music" to be released in early 2011.
