Born in Southern California, Tracy's love for music came early. She was singing at the age of 3, and by the age of 12 had written and performed her first composition. There was nothing she loved more than to share her voice and her music with others. In later years, Tracy lived in a variety of small towns throughout California, Utah, and Oregon.
It was many years later, after raising her children and after having gone through a painful divorce and severe illness, that Tracy truly understood and discovered her love of writing songs. A naturally intuitive spirit, Tracy began to explore the transformative power that can come out of intense life changes, diving deep into the human experience and at times to the depths of despair, and then finding her way back through the healing power of love, lyric and melody.
Tracy's songwriting has been described as absorbing and emotional, with an earthy, raw, organic and at times, ethereal quality. One listener stated, "She has the ability to paint pictures with words that cut through to the core of the human soul."
Tracy's accomplishments include placing in the top 5 at the finals in a National Singing Competition in three separate years, and an Honorable Mention in the 2008 Billboard Songwriting Contest.
Tracy is a member of ASCAP, the American Society for Composers, Authors and Publishers. In May of 2011 she began her own Publishing Company "Elfin Forest Productions."
