Chris Baker is a singer/songwriter and recording artist out of Las Cruces, NM. He has been playing live for over half of a decade and has grown a well-received following in NM, TX, AZ as well as other regions of the Southwest. Chris has had the opportunity to open for some big names including Lee Brice, Charlie Daniels, Theory of a Deadman, The Dunwells, Weezer, The Dirty River Boys, Aaron Watson, Bleu Edmonson, Mike McClure, and many more. He has been a part of many large events in the area and continues to spread his music to a wider audience.
Recently, Chris has started a four-piece full band to add another element to his acoustic looping show. The Chris Baker Band has already hit the ground running featuring Jason Reed on Bass Guitar, Michael Trujillo on Drums and back vocals, and Mark Klett on Lead Guitar and Keyboard. With his 2012 release of his debut all original album "I Wanna Fly" Baker took a new step in his profession. The album has been very well received by audiences as it tells the story of his life leading up to that point. He released an EP in March 2014 titled "As The Gate Swings Free" which is a 4-song collection thats show a different side to Baker's musical styles including his first ever full instrumental entitled "Organ Needle" that will get your toes tapping along. In October 2015, he released his 3rd album and 2nd full length titled "How Lucky I Am" showing a whole new level of growth and maturity in his songwriting styling as well as amazing production level. This LP features 11 new songs that all come from very personal experiences and emotions that make the album come alive and have a sense of reality and pureness to them.
