Two redhaired comics with instruments. It's like Tenacious D with a lady, or Indigo Girls with a mister and a little more sarcasm. It is the Raging Peanuts.
They have been seen at Skinny's Lounge opening for the Kyle Gass Band, at the Whisky a Go Go, the KeyClub, and all across Los Angeles, including residencies at Universal Bar and Grill in Studio City and the Glendon Bar and Kitchen in Westwood. Their fans, commonly known as the Peanut Gallery, flock to their shows for the release of Raging coupled with the prescription for the best medicine, which the Peanuts always provide: laughter.
Cory Pearman and Mary Pascoe have each been performing for as long as they can remember, and the odds are good that you have already seen at least one of them on your television screen. They also play the role of House Band and co-hosts on the iTunes podcast "Langdon Nation", where they improvise funny songs, play fresh acoustic takes on popular songs, and interview celebrities, 501(c)(3)s, and all kinds of others at Red Carpet Events and more. They are also frequent guests on The Pretty Good Podcast.
In late 2011, the comedic duo released "Ginga Ninja, Foo!" on their own record label, Crabble Dabble Entertainment (previously known for Mary Pascoe's solo work, "Who Brings a Cat to the Disco?"). Headlining at the world famous Viper Room on the Sunset Strip for the release, TRP shortly thereafter released "Live at the Viper Room" for free download on Bandcamp.com.
Where will they Rage next? Could be your own backyard... seriously, you need a band for your Bar Mitzvah?
