It all started with three little girls. Their dad taught them harmony with a pitch pipe on long car trips. They sang at family reunions, church functions, weddings and even the fair one time. They were known as the Ah Sisters--"SavannAH, JessiCA, OliviA" they would sing if anyone asked where their name came from. Their repertoire included songs such as "Doe a Deer" and "Goin' to the Chapel" while their father accompanied them on the guitar. Jessica and Olivia took piano for a few years and then later learned to play violin through school while Savannah picked up the base guitar. Jessica sought out to learn some on guitar and Olivia tinkered with the mandolin as well. Next thing The Springers knew, they were a small family band singing together and swapping musical instruments between songs. All the while their father played harmonica, guitar, keyboard and now the dobro. Although the three little girls are off away from home now, at college or married, whenever the family is all together they always try to throw together a song to record at the last minute. The song is never exactly how they want it but they are thankful that they are still able to come together and play music with one another. P.S. Their mother is their number one fan.
