The Alkali Flats hail from the Central Valley of California and play traditional high-powered Hillbilly and Honkytonk music. Fans of The Maddox Brothers and Rose, The Farmer Boys, Jean Sheppard, Skeets McDonald, Tommy Collins, The Louvin Brothers, and many others, The Alkali Flats have a pure and old-time authentic approach to their songs. The Alkali Flats have been kicking around in different forms for several years, spanning the globe and veterans of several European and American tours. They have played shows as diverse as a Medieval Chateau in France to the "Rocking Around Turnhout" festival in Belgium. From roadside fry shops in Cleveland to dilapidated bars in small-town Nevada, from a dive bar in Denver to Deke Dickerson's Annual Hillbilly Fest in downtown Los Angeles. Fueled by an unquenchable thirst for rocking old hillbilly and honkytonk music, the band just won’t stop trying to duplicate the sound of a thumping standup bass, a whining steel guitar, and the painful high harmonies that make this music great.
