For those of you who have ears, let him hear! Four our breath weighs for more than the trivial pursuits of modern man and the inches of existence we cling to do dearly is naught but a frail throne.
There was nothing.
Darkness’ endless dance toward dusk like an eternal night’s pregnant pause was all there was. But from emptiness…birth sparked! And the spark was called “CADRE”!
Spark caught flame in the hearts of 3 Houston, Texas boys known as Curran, son of Rehm, Nathan, son of Quick, and Kevin, son of Kendrick. And as the spring turned to fall, the flame turned to fire and Cadre’s first album was brought to reality. Home now echoed between the once empty walls of our hearts as it called us from wailing strings and galloping tempos.
But as Curran moved to Arkansas, the Texan hymns quieted to a dull hush, like whispers of a breeze in Ozark leaves and for a moment…the fire flickered. However, Curran’s heart wouldn’t be so quickly dampened. As his fingers entwined in the web’s of our heart strings, the fire grew once again.
Now in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the fire leapt to Sierra Mitchell (son of the singer man), Dane Gamble (son of the poet man), Nick Clark (son of the drummer man), Eddie Cheek (son of the trumpet man), and Patti Richardson (son of the bass man) and Cadre burned in their blood. Now the Cadre songs took new shape with the haunting ringing of the glockenspiel, trickling guitar melodies, warm harmonic vocals dancing with bright trumpet lines and hodge podge percussion. The Cadre fire swept through the fall leaves and by the end of winter, new songs began to sprout through the snow. Cadre had unveiled their singles!
With the new album expected around late August, the Cadre spirit rages on in the hearts of theirs friends, family, and supporters.
So join the family!! Lay your troubles on the fire and let’s light up the night in song!
