Strapping up in December of 2004, this four-piece pop/rock band, better known as “Pistoltown” has done nothing but try to forge ahead in today’s “clone” world of skinny jeans and bleached hair. Never trying to fit in, these boys rely solely on their infatuating music, electrifying live shows, and incessant schedule to captivate their fans around the globe. Throughout the past 6 years, they have played quite an extensive catalogue of venues, including Club La Vela (MTV Spring Break), Carlos n Charlie’s (Austin, TX), “World Famous” Tiki Bar (Florida Keys), Piere’s Night Club (Fort Wayne, IN) and the PacSun Tour (playing alongside The Audition, Danger Radio, and Envy on the Coast). The 4-piece has shed blood and sweat on hundreds of stages ranging from our northern neighbors, Canada to Austin, Texas and everywhere between. Along with racking up the miles in their overworked van, the boys have also racked up some substantial airplay on many of the radio stations throughout the southeast.
As the shows and radio interviews have added up, “Torn”, one of the songs on the EP was selected to be on the “Nashville Rockers for Life” compilation cd. On top of that, Pistoltown has recently been selected to write and record a new single for the DragonCon compilation. Besides all of the action 2010 has brought the boys, they have found time to release a brand new album, “Days Away”, produced by Andy Reilly (Asia, Bruce Dickinson, Bon Jovi, etc.). Bulging with driving guitars, enslaving harmonies, and make-you-wanna-hum melodies, not to mention singles like “Girl on MySpace”, “Trisha Yearwood”, and “Falling”, the album is destined to be a mainstay in your cd player. After one listen, you will be addicted to the music AND the band!!!
