Brent Byrd has been wearing out the tires on his RV and has performed over 600 show during the past 3 years. He currently has 2 full length self-released solo albums 'Time To Start Livin' and 'Evolution Of The Free' and is quickly gaining popularity through radio play on various college radio stations throughout the South East, West Coast and the Midwest as well as maintaining a solid tour schedule. He has most recently performed live on CW17 TV Station for YourJax Music, Jacksonville's version of Austin City Limits, The Florida Music Festival, completed a residency in Nashville and has toured with many artists to include Donavon Frannkenreiter and Beverly McClellan from NBC's The Voice.
Brent’s musical style could easily be described as if Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix were jammin’ at a late night party and just before sunrise The Black Crowes and Bob Dylan showed up to add the finishing touches to an unforgettable evening of musical madness. His tenacious vocals and easily humm-able melodies along with his sometimes political lyrics create an emotional roller coaster of energetically smooth music. His style sounds familiar through his unique influences of reggae, rock, jam band and jazz music.
Brent has gone many miles in his relatively short life towards becoming the musician he is now and the musician he is growing into. Influenced heavily by artists from the past, Brent is walking in their footsteps towards trying to change the worlds view through songs. From his beachy songs with underlining political satire to his direct lyrical punches, Brent's view hits you in a way that makes you want to be a better person and stand up for what you believe.
Over the years Brent has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many musicians to include REO Speedwagon, J.J. Grey, Tony Furtado, Willy Porter, Donavon Frankenreiter, Beverly McClellan (NBC's The Voice), Jason Mraz, Shawn Mullins, Uncle Tupelo (Jeff Tweedy, Jay Farrar), Thomas Ian Nichols (American Pie Movies), Velvet Revolver, Shinedown, Papa Roach and My Chemical Romance at Buzzfest XIV while touring with the band SuperDeluxe and Steve Ewing from The Urge as well as many other artists.
