John Galla / Bio

John Galla is a singer/guitarist/songwriter from Delco, PA, currently at work in the studio on his third LP. His previous two albums, "Sketch" (2011) and "Drifting to Bella" (2014) have received considerable airplay in Philly, Wilmington and the surrounding burbs -- but have also attracted radio audiences in Colorado, Las Vegas, Ireland and as far away as the FM waves of Belarus. In addition to performing solo, John plays with the eponymous (and currently seven-piece) "John Galla Band", folk-rock duo "DBL-G", and as a guest collaborator with many Philly-local bands/artists/producers.

Rooted in the rich history of music, but with an emphasis on attaining an original perspective, John's sound is an aural mosaic of such diverse influences as the Blues, Soul, Folk, Funk, Gospel, Motown, Rock, Reggae, Hip-Hop, Electronica, Country, Jazz, Grunge, New-Wave, and Bluegrass, framed by dynamic rhythm, lyrical wordplay and poignant expression.
