un • ion - [yoon-yuhn]
1. a number of persons, states, etc., joined or associated together for some common purpose
There is no better way to describe the band "In Union", which features Jesse Davis, former guitarist of the popular 90's rock band "The Nixons", singer Clint Goldschmidt, bassist James LaBrada, and drummer Dan Hollingsworth. They have joined for a common purpose: to write great original modern rock music.
The band formed in August of 2010, and hails from Oklahoma City. They got their start when Clint put out an online ad looking to start an acoustic duet, and it was answered by Jesse. After a number of e-mails, they decided to put together a full band, and enlisted the talent of James and Dan, whom Clint had played with in the past. Together, they mix gritty guitar riffs with a driving rhythm section, and melodic, thought-provoking lyrics. With their first single "My World", the band is looking to take over mainstream rock radio stations across the country.
In a short period of time, "In Union" has set a solid foundation of music in which to build upon. It won't be long before their music is blaring from car stereo speakers, and we are all joined together for a common purpose: to listen to great original modern rock music!
