DungeRaw, (born Lwazi Chiliza) previously known as "The Dunge" is a rap artist from Durban, South Africa. He started writing songs at the age of 15; mostly R&B songs at that time before he fell in love with hip hop music. He began rapping in high school and he formed a group called AfterShock. The group tried getting in the music industry approaching the major labels, which didn’t pan out. A few years later the group split up, in 2010 DungeRaw released his debut single titled “Hip Hop” as a solo artist. The single “Hip Hop” did very well and was well received by hip-hop music fans around the globe, grabbing over 150K on-line downloads in a couple of weeks after it was released.
DungeRaw continued to release more hit singles after his first single “Hip Hop”. He also did a remix with John Legend and The Roots on the “Shine” song remix contest that received great response from other artists and music fans globally. Rapping on a John Legend & The Roots track was a great experience for DungeRaw.
DungeRaw is an independent artist under an indie label called TOMG – Touch One Music Group. DungeRaw also has one of his singles titled "Player Hate" featuring Illmatik featured on Roc-A-Fella Freeway's Coast2Coast Mixtape Volume 253. A couple other hit singles by DungeRaw have been featured on Coast2Coast Mixtapes. In July 2014, DungeRaw released his 7 tracks EP hit album titled “Victory”, which is also receiving much deserved love from music lovers. DungeRaw is always on the grind making more hit music for the people.
