C.P.X. is a two-man act, a fact that illustrates the kind of musical vigor fueling this pair of musicians. "We're a two-piece band, so if The White Stripes had any balls, you'd have C.P.X.," says Brandon Underwood (drums, back-up vocals). Michael Smith provides axe work and lead vocals.
C.P.X. has released 4 independent albums, "The Final Nail," "The Door Opened," "Concrete Therapy," and "Out of the Storm," which are available on iTunes and other online retailers. They have also 2 DVDs featuring live and rehearsal performances. The pair can be found on Myspace, Facebook, and YouTube, all with the "cpxband" tag.
C.P.X. has been a featured artist on IMRadio, and they have had an interview featured in Ultimate Rockerz. They have had their music featured on over 40 Internet radio stations, 6 college radio stations, as well as multiple appearances on 96.7 WIHN's "Local Music Showcase." These metal monsters earned band-of-the-month status from 92.7 WQLZ in Springfield, Illinois, home state of C.P.X. and have also been featured on 94.9 K-ROCK's "Loud and Local" in Danville, Illinois. C.P.X. also showed up on a Florida-based comp, "The Kill Vol 1" and most recently on "Chicago Metal Alliance 13."
