Yanks / Bio

Born in Jamaica West Indies, went to all saint all age school in Kingston
Yanks was always surrounded by Reggae Music. His major influences in
those times were Bob Marley , Eddie Fitzroy and other. During his
youthful days, parties and Dance Hall sessions were a part of his life
style. This was due to the fact that his biggest hobbies were singing
and Djing. Dee Jay in the Jamaican rap which is similar or equivalent
to American hip hop rap. Many times as he would make an attempt at
singing the elders would not give him a chance nevertheless, he was
still determined to do what he enjoyed, he practiced with friends and
eventually began to write songs on his own.

After a time he ended up hanging out at Tony Rebel’s studio in
Pembroke Hall in Kingston where many of the local artists hanged. At this
time he tried to get a start in night clubs and parties but still was
not able to find anyone to give him the chance until he finally
decided to take matters in his own hands; after which he started
hosting parties and concerts of his own. by doing so he created his
own fan based that accepted his music, which gave him his big break at
Hope Gardens located in Kingston Jamaica and then he ended up in the U
S A where he met bongo from Africa and collaborate with him and Papa
Biggy where the both of them went on a mini tour and still perusing
his musical career.

He recently performed with the legendary Family Man from the Wailers. The Family man was impressed with his performance. He also performed with Brigadier Jerry, Bushman, and many more artists. And right now his music is doing real good as it is number one on the local Reverbnation charts; and number 1 on the Reverbnation’s local and national charts.
