My name is Michael X. Christian and I have been a self-taught musician for the past fourteen years. I have opened for the likes of Attrition, Bella Morte, and Ego Likeness. In addition to my albums- I am quite interested in writing music for film and television as well as for video games. I am highly influenced by the work of Akira Yamaoka. I also find inspiration in listening to classical music. I have written pieces for Megan Norman's GushHeart (performed at The University of Iowa) and two short films by John Nodorft (Chapman University, California). I was involved in the short horror film, Bloody Treads (by Stuart Frondle, Coe College- Cedar Rapids, IA) in both acting and musical aspects. In 2011, I composed an original score for the film, What They Say (a short psychological horror film, shot in Chicago). Here, I am offering examples of my work in the hope that I can find myself expanding this part of my career.
Note: the video found on this page is called The Catch by John Nodorft and contains the first of two soundtrack pieces I did for him.
