The Pity Whores came kicking and screaming into this world with the intent to revitalize the old values of what punk rock used to stand for, humor, self-deprecation, fun times and a general disregard for ones health. Seeking an outlet for their wit and sarcasm, Wyatt Peterson (guitar, vocals) and Matt Lisowski (drums, vocals) began writing catchy tunes inspired by great punk bands such as Screeching Weasel, The Ramones, Green Day and The Queers. For the past 12 years they have carved a niche out in the East Coast punk scene and have developed a fun, fast, and driven stage show, rounded out by Wyatt's brother Rory Peterson (bass, vocals). They have opened up for acts like The Queers, The Dwarves, Agent Orange and have appeared on The Jerry Springer show.
