Formed in Pennsylvania, EverRage is a 4 piece Rock/Hard Rock/Alternative Rock band that consists of Vocalist and Rhythm Guitar player Mark Schweppenheiser, Drummer Nikk Conroy and Bassist Ian Ryczak. EverRage creates and plays their own, original music.
Mark Schweppenheiser grew up in a household with a strong appreciation for music. From a young age, Mark’s dad was blasting songs by AC/DC, Boston, Lynard Skynard, The Rolling Stones and countless other great artists. At the age of 10, Mark watched Jimi Hendrix live at The Isle of Wight and this had a profound effect on him. He knew then, that he needed to learn how to play the guitar and that he needed to be on stage. He got his first guitar, a mint green Hondo, and began taking lessons and practicing every day. He soon graduated to a Ltd Viper 301, that he slept with in case a good riff came to him in his sleep. Mark started his first band when he was 16, and recorded their first and only album, a year later. Mark went on to be a part of several other bands that played in the local area before EverRage was born. EverRage is the band he always wanted to be a part of: strong musicians, making original music influenced by their love of Rock N Roll.
Nikk Conroy has been playing drums for close to 16 years. His love of music started at the age of 11, when he decided to take up the drums to forge a closer relationship with his father, a drummer by his own right. He started out with the basics of concert band and then progressed to marching band and finally orchestra. Nikk would practice at home, while listening to bands like Rush, Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin playing on Rock 107. He has played with a number of different cover bands over the years, including a GNR cover band and a classic rock cover band with a female lead vocalist. He happened upon EverRage by chance, via Myspace, learned their songs, auditioned and after a “painful two-week waiting period,” he was in.
Ian Ryczak has been playing bass for about 16 years. Music has been a huge inspiration in his life thanks to his parents exposing him to such greats as Kiss, The Who, Harry Chapin, Cat Stevens and other great musicians. He started his musical career playing the recorder, clarinet and bass clarinet. He bought his first Bass with $30 in change, and taught himself how to play it. He joined his first band, a grunge rock band, when he was 16. Since then he has expanded his musical abilities to include metal, hardcore, punk, jam band, and rock ‘n roll. Joining EverRage has allowed him to explore his creative abilities. EverRage has contaminated his blood….in a good way.
EverRage descended on the local music scene in 2000 and has undergone many necessary changes to create the explosive sound and original music enjoyed by their growing fan base. The band puts on a high energy, intense live show that appeals to a broad audience. Influenced by such greats as The Stone Temple Pilots, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Godsmack, Led Zeppelin and others, their demo titled Anywhere But Here, is currently available.
