Paul Krason / Bio

The First track 'Finding My Way' Features myself on bass, my brothers Johny Dey on guitar and Roman Dino on drums, with Tommy Raggs on vocals, Sue Miller keys. The track is from the Main Man Records album "Lush" a tribute to the first Rush album with original drummer the late John Rutsey who also has a track on the record. You can purchase the album at mainmanrecords.com. The other tunes are tracks from the self titled Zyris album released in 1999 on Happy Dog Records, the tunes are actually demos, we wrote 10 songs and wanted to here what they sounded like and someone owed me studio time and there you have it, when we played live the people (everywhere we played ) were so into the tunes we put out what we had. No production, just us.I'm playin Bass, Johnny I (RIP) on lead vocals, Gary Roz on Guitars and backing vocals, Roman Dino on Drums and backing vocals. I will post more tunes in the future. Thanks for listening and I hope you enjoy.

I started playing music a long time ago when the Statue of Liberty was just a little girl, lol, for you Johnny I!! I got an acoustic guitar from my grandfather, when i was like 5, grampa played bass in a jazz band, he also taught bass, keyboards, guitar and music theory, I switched to bass when I was 13, I played in various cover bands, Hooking up with Gary Roz back in 1989 after he replaced Zakk Wylde in Zyris, we put a cover band together (Ballistics) with Drummer Chris Opthof. I auditioned for Ozzy's touring band in 1994 (Geezer Butler got the gig) not sure if he had to audition, When Zyris was reforming in 1997 Gary called me to join, we would get together, have a few beers and write songs, it was all about having fun! And we did!! We got a indie record deal in early 2003, that lasted about 3 months before we told them to piss off,(a whole another story) Zyris ended in April of 2006 with the passing of my dear friend and lead vocalist Johnny I. We played some great shows, opening for some great bands and not so great bands. Here are some of those bands that we shared the stage with; Styx, Warrant, Cinderella, Slaughter, Poison, Vince Neil, Sebastian Bach, Mr. Big, Firehouse, Faster Pussycat, Thin Lizy, L.A. Gunns, Jackel, Blue Oyster Cult, Dokken, Artimus Pyle (lynyrd Skynyrd), Quiet Riot, C.C. DeVille, Tesla, King Norris (Fred Norris- Howard Stern), Gary Cherone (Extreme Van Halen), King X, Winger, Dee Snyder, Brittney Fox, Yngwie Malmsteen, Ratt, Keel, etc,etc,etc.. I took some time off after Johnnies passing, did a cover band for a minute, recorded on a couple of tribute Albums
