Kubi, Born Mukubi G Sikisi Jr (August 7, 1993), is a Hip-Hop/ Pop Artist, from War torn Congo, Africa But relocated to Milwaukee, WI at the age of three because of the fighting and the threats on the lives of him and his family due to his family’s connection with the Congolese Government. He and a few of his siblings and Mother where the only ones able to make America in 1997, were they lived in a shelter home ,a few years later after years of his mother’s tireless work ethic . She was able to get five of kubi’s siblings to America including his father. Where they then relocated to the south side of Milwaukee. In 2004 Kubi picked up boxing and in 2006 he was the national champion in his weight class. A few years later he started to learn how to rap due to influences from his brother and friends and in 2010 he made his first song “So Much” which was an instant success and led him to a brief stint with 20 Ent (which was formerly a Part of Universal recordings) with them, is where he started to work on his first mixtape the revolution. Which shortly after that he scrapped due to “lack of focus “. But in early 2011 He began performing shows with Rapper and Brother “Matic”. This is where he started to earn his rep and even was asked to open for Lil Wayne in January of that year. Soon after he took a partial break to finish his High School senior year and pursue basketball in college where he earned a scholarship to Indiana Tech University. In December of 2011 , he began working on his First Mix tape Titled “ Redshirt Freshmen” Which pits two parallels of being a redshirt freshmen in basketball ,while also being a relative new comer to the music industry and how overlooked new artist are when they are not with a major label. In February he Released 3 tracks from the Upcoming Mixtape: Dreams Money Can Buy (Freestyle) 5’10 intro, and also the Single “Coolin” Produced by D&L Productions.
