George De Souza / Bio

“A song can take many forms, it just depends on how you hear it in your own head.” George De Souza ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ George De Souza’s life long fascination with music began at the age of four when he first heard Simon & Garfunkel’s Mrs. Robinson. As a youngster he was mesmerized by the legendary Elvis Presley as the prototypical rock star. In early adolescence De Souza’s early musical inclination blossomed: he took up the guitar, teaching himself the craft and discovered new vocal grounds when at the age of fifteen he saw Deep Purple’s lead vocalist David Coverdale perform with Whitesnake. To this day the Blues remains central to his musical style. In his estimation Jimmy Page, Richie Blackmore, Buddy Guy, James Burton, Paul Kossoff, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix are the all time greatest guitar players. Paul Rogers, David Coverdale are the definitive Bluesy rock style singers. He has never pursued music as a career and contented himself with the soulful introspection upon his own music unencumbered by commercial and critical influence. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ By Steve Freelance
