Hailing from Pesaro, Italy, death/HC metallers E.T.H.A.N (acronym for Extra Terrestrial Humanity Annihilation Nucleus) born by an idea of Riccardo Marchionni (guitar), Luca Barbieri (drums) and Luca “Dave” Scarlatti in late 2009.
Guided by the intention to play deathcore music they soon brought an extreme sound to their hometown, wich was still missing the taste of extreme death metal riffing with wallblasting breakdowns and technical metal approach to instruments with killer work by guitar and drums and brutal vocals.
With a still uncomplet line up they’ve started the composition of their first songs and they were facing a long research for another guitarist and a bassist at the same time. Then Marco Pozzi and Giorgio Cassarà have enjoied E.T.H.A.N respectively as bassist and guitarist.
After a brief series of gigs they entered in the studio, in 2010, to record their first EP entitled “I want to believe” wich was released in 2011; but after the recording session of the EP Marco Pozzi has left the band moving to another town to keeping on study at the University. So Marco Betti filled the vacancy in the band becoming the new bassist for E.T.H.A.N.
Actually the band is ivolved in the promotion of “I want to believe EP” and the composition of new song wich will sign a new step in the evolution of E.T.H.A.N’s sound with the addition of melodic vocals and a riffing wich is more metal oriented and incorporate tech-metal and groovy stuff.
