"The time is almost here! Autopsy will be stepping back into the mighty Fantasy Studios on February 6th to begin recording the new full length album entitled "Macabre Eternal" for Peaceville Records.
We've brewed up the sickest and heaviest material that our rotten souls could possibly spew forth and we are confident that it's our best stuff yet. The e.p. was a taste of what's to come, but now it's time for the full assault from beyond the grave.
"Always About To Die", "Hand Of Darkness", "Spill My Blood" and "Bludgeoned And Brained" are but a few of the titles which will be included in this horrific creation.
The album will contain no repeated ep tracks, no re-recorded old songs, no triggered trickery and nothing less than the pure death metal brutality that Autopsy has always delivered."
In the meantime, Autopsy has been confirmed for several live appearances in 2011 which are:
April 30th - Neurotic Death Fest - Tilburg, Holland
June 3rd - Chaos in Tejas Festival - Austin, Texas
July 1st, 2nd or 3rd (exact performance date TBA) - Roskilde Festival - Roskilde, Denmark
July 15th - Hammer Open Air Festival - Lieto, Finland
Autopsy has been awakened by gore. Formed in 1987 and broke up in 1994, the band is back in 2010. This is no nostalgia trip, Autopsy is here to make eyes bleed and crush skulls. With a new EP out, "The Tomb Within," and a new full length on the way, Autopsy is ready to make the best music in the bands existence. The fifth studio album will be titled "Macabre Eternal" and will feature the return to vocals for Eric Cutler. Chris Reifert will continue to sing and play drums, Danny Coralles with Cutler on guitar and Joe Trevisano on bass. Autopsy will be raping shores near you in 2011...
