Chad Petty / Bio

Texas native Chad Petty had the music bug planted early. Eight years old in fact, when his father gave him his first acoustic guitar, on which he would learn his first blues progression. He was raised on Country, Blues, and Rock n' Roll, and you can hear it in his music. Chad has grown from lead guitarist in various metal/hardcore bands growing up in Houston, to a prolific songwriter in the genres of folk, blues, country and rock and roll, a blend he likes to call Texas Americana. He arranges pieces with a dark, heartfelt, and interestingly "old soul" manner. A multi-instrumentalist, playing such instruments as mandolin, banjo, guitar, harmonica, and more. Chad keeps it simple and lively in his solo performances. His on-stage presence and performance is truly a "One Man Band" experience.

Chad toured with Gina Chavez (Austin, Tx) in Feb. 2012, representing his full band at The International Folk Festival in Memphis, TN. Tour stops included: Bryan, Tx, Dallas, Tx, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Memphis Tennessee.
