Janie is Texas' Country sweetheart songstress! A Texas native she has been dubbed with the slogan "Country music with attitude" and she wears it well. Don't let the boots and cowboy hat fool you, she may be real country but she has some rock n' roll running through her veins! Her voice is a blend of country, rock, honky-tonk and blues. She likes to keep her original music raw and real because she says that's what country music is all about and someone out there could possibly relate to the song. Balderas was a preachers daughter and was limited to what genre of music she could listen to growing up but that didn't stop her from her passion of country music.. Her influences include Dwight Yoakum, George Strait, Pistol Annies, Kacey Musgraves and Miranda Lambert keeping it real and true country. "I love the sound of a fiddle and steel guitar, it's music to my ears." says Janie.

Born and raised in Austin, Texas she has always been involved in music from a young girl singing hymnals at church as a Preachers daughter to volunteering at SXSW Music, benefits and other festivals. Her original songs capture the sassiness, love or just plain true and down to earth. The philanthropy part of her loves to give back in music by playing or helping out with different causes.
