At a time when winning in the rap game is next to impossible, Young Win remains a contender while tucking victories under his belt. San Francisco born but Rodeo, CA bred, Young Win first grabbed the microphone at the age of 15 and hasn’t looked back. As a true 80s baby, Young Win’s distinctive style was cultivated during an era known for the most significant inner-city saturation of drugs and violence. Reflecting his experiences of coming of age in his music, Young Win’s delivery embodies that of Bay Area hip-hop culture.
Win took his craft to the next level with the release of his street albums “Money on my Mind,” and “Losing is not an Option,” hosted by DJ Mind Motion. Following the success from the single “Bout My Chips,” featuring Big Rich, Win garnered recognition among peers and fans alike. Working with heavyweights like Zaytoven, The Jacka, Dem Hoodstarz, CyHi The Prynce, and San Quinn, Win continued to establish a following while carving his own niche in the West Coast hip-hop.
With a work ethic that can’t be stifled, Young Win founded his company, Black Royalty Entertainment in 2009. In preparation for his debut album, Young Win released "In It 2 Win It" a project hosted and mixed by Big Von. Young Win and Big Von provided the sequel “Young Winning” in 2011.After touring California, Oregon and even Memphis, Young Win garnered additional buzz through radio spins and interview appearances on KMEL (San Francisco), KBMB (Sacramento), KWIN (Stockton), and KHTN (Modesto), Win has grown a solid fan base in all the Northern California markets. Recently named “Top 5 DJ Picks” in Hip Hop Weekly, his popularity continues to expand throughout the Pacific Northwest.
From his platform as CEO of BRE, Young Win independently released “So Good,” which was immediately picked up by Maybach Music & featured throughout the Taylor Gang conglomerate of affiliated networks. The success from those projects allowed him to follow up with his latest street album, “Born To Win” and the single “Coolest Around,” featuring Erk Tha Jerk & Jay Ant.
