Athina Pavlaki - Pirounia was born in Piraeus, Greece.
She studied piano, and orchestra direction at the national
conservatory and she obtained her composition diploma at the "N. Skalkotas" conservatory.
She followed seminars on musical pedagogy, Byzantine, contemporary and electronic music and recently participated in a series of seminars presented by the national music hall with the subject ‘’Contemporary trends of the 20th century’’.
She is president of “Altera Musica” a music company, which goal is to promote music as a means of education and entertainment by organizing concerts, seminars, festivals and other cultural activities.
She has written music for small and large ensembles and has participated in many concerts with her works.
At 27/ 9/ 97 she was a finalist in the Alea III International Composition Competition, Boston University.
She is a member of the Union of Greek Musicians.
