Drawing from roots extending back to the San Francisco Bay Area's Punk scene of the early nineties, Red Light Radical reflects an effort to blend the energy and honesty of that sound with a danceable musical approach. Pulling from many musical interests and influences ranging from Ska to Cuban Son, Rockabilly to New Wave, Punk to Brit-Pop, Berkeley to Manchester, Santiago to New York, Red Light Radical comes together in it's own unique cohesiveness. It finds a place somewhere between genres linking them together.
While attending Berklee College of Music founding member, vocalist and songwriter, Goiyo Perez realized an opportunity to bring together musicians from different backgrounds in order to create a cross-genre feel and sound with material he had been writing. This process culminated in the release of a self-titled E.P. in the summer of 2010.
The process still continues with new material for an upcoming release that is keeping with the ever-standing musical mission to deliver energy and honesty through groove and melody.
