The Fall Down Drunks / Bio

The Fall Down Drunks are not your average
bluegrass string band...not at all. Its more like a half-bred honky-tonk conglomeration of blues, folk, and diy punk rock. Influenced by the roots of American music but fueled by the angst of the grunge rock generation, we strive to have a sound all our own.

You might be asking yourself....how entertaining can two guys with a pawnshop guitar and a homemade bucket bass be? You like most who have seen us live just might be surprised. If you got a dive bar full of drunks, a bottle of whiskey and FDD, you got yer self a damn good time!

In February of 2010 we began killing time and beers sitting around the kitchen table and dreaming up songs. We began playing publicly in the bar down the street for free beers from the owners and patrons.

It was s short matter of time till we were booking real gigs and terrorizing bars all over our neck of the woods.

The Fall Down Drunks are just pickin' up steam and ain't planning on slowin' down with more and more venues coming up in our schedule and our first CD, "13 Shots with The Fall Down Drunks" recorded we plan to hit the road hard! We have formed a small but dedicated fan base consisting of rowdy bar room drinkers, bikers, barbecue teams, blue collar joes and cubicle drones, down home folks both young and old ages 8 to 80, headbangers and line dancers. It seems anybody who gives it a chance finds something they like in our “hillbilly punk” sound and original songs.
